Monad wants to fire the keepers

Monad wants to fire the keepers. Nobody has decided who gets the severance.

Category Labs posted a v1 draft on Oct 22: scheduled transactions. Any wallet or contract books a call for a future block, prepays the gas, and the protocol runs it. No off-chain bot that forgets to show up or runs out of gas.

The fine print: • 10% of every block becomes a scheduled lane • Fees lock at booking and climb as that lane fills • No refund for unused gas • A call that reverts still counts as "completed." The chain kept its promise. Your trade didn't.

Follow the Value: keepers charge a commission today. In the draft, that fee gets split. A share goes to all validators by stake, the rest is burned. The share is written as "c%." Nobody has filled in c.

Real problem, real fix. But the MON holder's cut lives in one blank variable, and validators will have opinions about it.

Until someone fills in c, it's a cron job with a tip jar. What should c be?
