Upland, the metaverse built on real-world addresses, pools the SPARKLET players spend on seed generation and Uppie merges. Under its 2023 white paper, nothing happens to that pool until players vote: burn it, or send it to grants or incentives.
This round covered roughly 2.9M SPARKLET spent so far in 2026. The vote passed, and Upland posted "Burn Complete" on Friday. One commenter on its feedback board pitched it as a way to offset upcoming unlocks. The first round, about 1.9M from Q1, passed in May. The announcement had no transaction details or vote tally.
