A casino is launching a token. Finally, the house has something new to hand you besides the bill.
MINT's $MNTD goes live Tuesday (Oct 20) on Robinhood Chain. Season 1 XP came from casino and sportsbook play: wager $50 to qualify, climb the leaderboard, split a $125K airdrop.
That's 3.79M tokens out of a 1B supply. About 0.38%. The players who built the leaderboard get the tip jar.
What it does: stake it to climb 7 Status levels for rakeback, lossback and better reward rates. Staking rewards come from a 15.7% allocation released at TGE into staking pools, paid in more $MNTD. Yield, from a pile minted on day one.
Value accrual: the site says supply "only goes down." The whitepaper says MINT "intends" to send "a portion" of House Edge revenue toward buybacks, "No purchase is guaranteed," and anything bought may be burned, held or recycled into rewards. No revenue share. No votes.
Reference price $0.033, so ~$33M FDV.
My take: it's a loyalty card with a chart. The house edge doesn't move, the house wins either way, and Status chasers stake into the house's own chips.
Watch this week: whether any House Edge actually shows up on-chain as buybacks.
Casino loyalty token: real Web3 economy, or comps with a ticker?
