Bad Bikers dropped the Death Race trailer this week. Lots of violence, as promised. The real carnage is in the revenue math.
The pitch: Los Primos, 5,000 pixel PFPs on Solana at $20 (mint date TBA), tied to a Web2 PC and mobile game that's Mario Kart with machine guns. Players won't need a wallet. Holders get a lifetime battle pass, a Harley raffle, and "Grow-to-Earn."
Follow the value. There's no token here, which is refreshing. Value is supposed to land on the NFT as game revenue paid in USDC. But the share keeps changing lanes: - Earlier pitch: 100% of revenue to holders for two years, then 80% - Angel-investor pitch: 81% of net revenue, players paying $15 a year - Current mint copy: holders rewarded "in accordance with their individual results"
That last line is doing a lot of work. Individual results means you earn by bringing in players. That's not a dividend. It's a sales commission with a profile picture.
To be fair: a game people actually pay for, revenue in stablecoins, no farm-and-dump token. On paper that beats most of Web3 gaming. And Bert Biker openly admits the cinematics are AI and the budget is a "modest pile of lemons."
But a $20 NFT that pays you to shill a $15 game is a referral program you bought into. So who's the customer here: the player, or the next holder?
