I have a hunter. So, I'm thinking let's go rogue. I think rogue is fun. Let's try that out. Uh Sly UG. I like that. That My other character is just UG. So, let's go with Sly UG since he is a rogue. I didn't have to think about this too much. This looks interesting. Does it tell you how many people are playing? This is an actual MMO. Uh yeah, there there are other people playing. For sure. How many are on? I don't know if it gives me that analytic here. They do have a Discord. Trey Garr says 111. Welcome in. Welcome in. I already knew you were here. I don't know why I said welcome in. Just a habit. But, I am going to be trying to lay this out as somewhat of a tutorial, but not like a straight-up
walk-through like you've never like I explain every little tiny asset of everything. Just from beginner to whatever level that we make it to. We'll probably make it something like level 12 or something like that. Level 10. Especially since I know how to play it. Uh welcome to the proving shore. Somebody's waiting for me. Go see him. Okay, this is not where I started before. Now, one thing I want to show off is the walk store. They have armory. They have in-game currency that you can spend. This is like a merge between web 2 and web 3. There is web 3 asset. Like there is a walk coin. This was for anybody who doesn't know too. This was a community takeover project. Like somebody created this project and then the community kind of came in and took it over. I
don't know if it's cuz they didn't like what they were doing or if uh it kind of died and the original developers and stuff weren't putting energy into it. So, let's talk to him. Run the gauntlet. All right. I do kind of have a bad habit of not reading all of it all the time. So, they have changed like the beginner game kind of thing. Okay, this took a minute. Space to jump. Oh, the mechanic If you've ever played wow, like the mechanics are super super similar down to the shortcut keys and all of that. I think was literally copied from it. What am I doing here? Oh, training field. Oh, we got a training dummy. All right, let's see what our rotation is. That's just attack. So, you just got to attack one of the dummies. This is
all like super beginner game stuff. They just want to make sure you know how to walk around, jump, and of course, you know, attack something. That kind of stuff. So, What does it say? Land on an FNG, which I guess is these little practice dummies here is what they usually are called. Okay, so it's not lighting up cuz I'm not in range. Tab on your keyboard. Like I use WASD to move around, if you know what I'm talking about. Those are the the movement keys for a lot of these style games. And basically, right next to it is tab. If you hit tab, it'll automatically auto target things that are close to you. [music] And you can hit it again and again to try to get exactly what you want if you don't get exactly what you want to
target, but it makes it really easy to target stuff up front. So, we should have like stealth or something. I haven't read. Conceals you in a shadow. Yeah, that's stealth. So, that makes it so your enemies can't see you as a rogue. Later on, you should get like uh you know, an increased attack boost if you attack things coming out of stealth. Right now we're just taking out some pretty low-level enemies here, so I'm not stressing it. F is a short key to like auto loot and grab everything. I'm sure it's copied over some of the uh changes I've made here to my previous character settings and stuff. Hopefully it's done that. Evening. Welcome in. Welcome in. Let's see here. Oh, there's who I have to turn it in with. Not the guy I got the quest from. So
of course low-level quest, they've changed this up. I don't know if it's different per character, like class I mean. But I went with a rogue this time. I went with a hunter before. Uh what are we doing? Minister Crab, Lotus Pearl. I guess I'm trying to uh get this guy to show up. All right, I don't know if I actually did what I was supposed to or if another player came over and did it, but I'll take it. The shortcut keys are being represented better. There's been some updates to this game since I first played. It's not like something I play every day obviously. But I do want to kind of give you guys a run through of it for a couple of different reasons. One, actual wow requires a monthly payment, right? You have to have your monthly
activation. Obviously you can buy more than 1 month at a time, and as a kid it would have been nice to have like a free free possibility. Let's equip whatever this is. I don't know the deal is. Castaway. Oh, there's a crate there. They have such a bright light. I'm used to running through them. I didn't even notice that there's a crate there. That's funny. So, I ran through them like they were checkpoints and didn't even bother to open them. Again, when I created my hunter, they had a different tutorial. You just basically started in the town. I think that they've expanded. I think this is new. Like, I think they added this as a beginning a beginner area, which is cool. That's a little bit more like traditional wow. World of Claude Craft is the game. Again, I
do kind of accept the quests fast and I don't read every little thing of them. Says I need to buy one of these for my quest. It's a bag. You're going to want to put it on. It increases your storage capabilities. Actually, I think I was supposed to give it to this guy. All right. So, we still completed it. Looks like I got to keep that bag. What am I doing? A guild signpost read. Okay, so we'll read this. Guild signpost. Uh you can I guess pledge to different guilds. This gets you active. This gets you in a guild. I'm going to hold off on that for now. When it comes to guilds and stuff, I like to see who I just actually wind up interacting with and clicking with in the game. And then I'd rather like be
a part of them and support them. Walk back from the dead, it says. So, this is probably a tutorial on what to do if you end up dying in the game. It's generally how that works. Step into it. Walks free. Okay. Where am I supposed to be going here? The long walk, okay. So, take this passing stone. Press B, open left key, it will lay you down right where you stand. Okay, so it's an item. I can usually figure out a quest pretty fast, so when I can't, then I have to read it. This thing's basically going to kill me. Boom, you've died. You hit release spirit. If you're not familiar with original WoW, you go to wherever you died at. This simulates basically you're out fighting monsters, you get taken out, resurrect at corpse. And then, you're back
to life. That is the dying and reviving aspect of the game. We'll accept and set sails. Basically, it's going to take us from this beginner area to the mainland where we used to start before. It seems like they've just added this. So, we'll turn this in, complete. We'll go here, we'll ring this bell, and that should send us over to the town. All right. Now, there were a lot of quests in the town like a beginner town would normally have in WoW. Like it is its own game, but it's also very much a copy of WoW. It does seem to be pretty original, though. I wouldn't call it like a straight-up rip-off of WoW, though. Although, if you're used to playing WoW, um and you're not in the blockchain gaming, and you don't know anything about crypto, you're probably
going to choose to continue to play actual WoW. That's just what it is. This is for people who care more about having ownership of items on chain and stuff like that. Is what most people who are into blockchain gaming. And blockchain gaming's getting better and better and better by the day. This is a new game. It hasn't been out very long. I'm just accepting all the quests. Because then I'll hit M and go to map, and it'll show me where to go for each quest. That's kind of how I do it. I don't know what the value would be for me to like sit here and read meticulously every quest to you. I don't think it would be all that valuable. How's the volume, anybody? Anybody want to tell me how the volume is? So, they have these reoccurring
uh quests for different skills and uh what do you call them? Classes, not classes. Uh like cooking and stuff like that. I don't want to be a weaver. This is where I wind up having to actually read quests that I don't want to read. Uh it's so annoying. That's my opinion. So, like that's just a straight-up quest. But, one of these quests is for the actual crafting. That's the word I was looking for. And I don't really want to do crafting. Personally. In the beginning game. That's like something I get into later in later game. Uh copper ore delivered. These are just just basic quests. Get some copper ore, bring it to that guy, this, that, and the other. This is a different town. So, let's hit him. >> [clears throat] >> And let's zoom out. Where did we
start? Wow, that looks like the same place. Hold on, somebody's calling me on Discord. All right. So, let me keep it moving here. We must be very close to the original town that I was in. If you hover over them, you'll see Well, I guess I'm blocking it. You would see. Let me see. Is there a better place for me to move me? Maybe like here? Make myself even a little smaller. Here, I'll put myself in front of that chat. I'm not used to being on that side of the screen, but we'll rock with it. All right. So, when I actually hover over this wild boar, it shows me down in the corner that I need to get five boar high hide, skin, whatever you want to call it. I'm so used to having a bow. I have to
actually run all the way up to him. It's kind of inconvenient, but I do like the rogue class. Now, when you go into stealth, it really slows you down. And I don't have like any kind of backstab move or anything like that. So, I just got to straight-up fight him. Not so bad. Hit F to auto grab everything there. All right. I got to get get it down. I'm used to having a bow. I'm used to having a pet, all of that stuff. Yep. All right. Got a little cocky there, huh? Well, this is what happens when you die. It's good for the tutorial. I meant to do that on purpose. No, I'm just kidding. I didn't. So, you run over here to where this light is. It'll kind of guide you to where you got to go. You'll
have something pop up says to resurrect. I don't need to get some health up before I go too far there. I will grab the loot since that person I missed it. Since that person kind of uh took out the one that killed me. Okay, I did not finish that quest. Dang it. I wanted to attack that thing. All right. Apparently, it's hard to grind here with somebody else. We're not in a party, so we're not sharing loot, and he's a mage, so he hits everything before I actually hit everything. Still only two hides. I need three more hides. When you need something like a hide or a skin, you wind up having to fight a lot more of them than say three or five. You would think you get a hide from each one. Apparently, that's not uh guaranteed.
All right, that person moved on here, so I don't have as much competition. That is nice. What are we at? Three out of five? Doesn't matter. You kind of got to grind a little bit here at these low levels anyways. And the cycle here is pretty much get a bunch of quests, run around the map, complete them. When you turn them in is like kind of normally when you're going to level or get the bulk of your XP, get better items, go to another town, complete level, all of that kind of stuff. Looks like I'm a little low on health. I'm not watching my health at all, which I should be. Okay, what is this? So, it looks like I need to move my stealth up to a different bar. Now, in options is where you can like enable
all these different slots and bars and stuff like that, where you put stuff if you need more, if you need less of them. All right, health is revived. I mean, normally you would definitely go into stealth as a rogue, cuz normally you'd have something like uh backstab effect, or you'd have a move that did significantly more damage if you did it from being in stealth first. I don't know why my All right. Sometimes it'll like lock onto a key and I'll just auto run. I don't want to auto run. I don't see any value in really being in stealth right now. Unless I was trying to run away. It says I got a stolen supply crate. I don't know how that happened. Oh, I'm not hitting him. He's behind me. A little low on health. I probably should heal
up real quick. I don't know. Do I have anything to consume? What do I got to eat here? Oh, use my cooking. Okay, there we go. Getting attacked. Usually you don't want to stand where mobs are. It's usually not a good idea. Dang, the hide quest is taking forever cuz it's kind of a random drop. It's not like a guaranteed drop for each one. I need one more of those. The respawn rate's pretty good here. Ooh, not paying attention to my health. I am once again not used to paying attention to my health all that much because I would be a hunter with a pet. I wouldn't really have to pay a lot of attention to it. I'm starting to feel like maybe I should have gone with the warrior. High resistance to damage. But I just want to
give you guys a general outline of what you would expect with this game. I see that they've done They're still building. Like they're still doing a lot of upgrades and things. I I can tell that they've done a major upgrade with the frames and different things like that. It used to be a little bit laggy, but not today. It actually is pretty smooth the last couple of times I've got on here. Now, if you're familiar with wow, you will know the max level cap originally started at 20. And that's what they've done with this game. So, you can only go to level 20 right now. So, I started a new character wasn't so bad. Of course, C here will open up everything. B will open up your inventory. I don't really have anything to put on, so won't worry
about that right now. So, there are supply crates somewhere and I picked one up. No, here we are. Supply crate. I probably should pay a little bit more attention cuz they're literally all around and I could have picked them all up already, but I hadn't. Don't attack me. All right. I like to stay really zoomed out, but that's why I totally missed those crates. Let's go turn these in. Get a little bit of a level up. Now, you have a talent tree, which is N on your keyboard if you hit N. Turn that in. Stolen supplies, turn that in. Uh browse your goods. I don't have mana, so I don't really need any of that. I have a little bit of food. I prefer for me get out of the way and stand to the side for a second
and then I will just heal automatically. Higher level, that's a little bit different and more uh time intensive. But in the beginning of the game, you're going to heal pretty quick. All right, let's hit M. M is kind of your guide to everything. From where materials are, wood, copper, herbs, to where your quests are. If you hit M, it'll answer most of your questions. Matter of fact, I'll kind of toggle that up so we don't have to look at it. And it looks like there's some stuff to do up here. Looks like more drop stuff. Item drops. So, when we've played this before, we've had the community come through. We had a couple developers for the game come through. And it was a lot of fun. Getting to meet some people in the community. I should post over there
that we're live. I don't think any of my mods actually are in that Discord. Are you here, Melissa? Is there any possibility of you joining the World of Quad Craft Discord? I made a post in there earlier. Just put that we're live. If you feel like it. All right, I need to get out of here and heal up. Eat some food. I mean, did he do it? No, he didn't do it. Use. Oh, it's just used for cooking. It's not actually been cooked yet. That's why it's not working. So, what? I'm level four, these are level three. I guess they're still a little bit of a challenge. It is nice they didn't make it so easy that you just walk straight through it. Having a basic understanding of the game it's from helps a lot. Wish I had like
a taunt or a pull. And we're going to need to pick up some of this wood I believe for a quest. You need an axe. Okay, I don't have an axe apparently. I really don't have an axe. You think they would give you an axe to do a quest where you have to get wood, but I guess not. So we'll have to go find a merchant who has an axe. So cooking, we're going to need to find the merchant. Great name for who we are looking for. Oh, that's the world market. So there is a world market for items and stuff like that just like regular wow. Browse your goods. He has a hand axe for timber, let's grab one of those. And we're going to need a sickle. I do have a mining axe. I don't know why
they gave me that but nothing else. But either way, no big deal. Turn in this other quest. And that's pretty much the workflow. Get quest, hit M, look at your map, go find them, do whatever needs to be done, pick the item up, or take out the monster for the drop. Come back, turn in quest, level up, go town to town. Cuz obviously the next town up will be for the level that you should approximately be after doing all of those quests. You know, it's kind of calculated. They know how much XP they're going to give you, roughly how many you need, uh how much XP you're going to get just doing the quests and stuff like that. I just have to kill these guys cuz they're in my way. Of course, you can sit around and grind just
to be just to make life easy. Am I being attacked? I don't feel like I'm being attacked. Says I'm in combat. Who am I in combat with? All right, now it went away. That's actually a common, even in regular WoW, that's a pretty common uh problem. Usually resolves itself within a couple of seconds saying you're in combat when you're not because you were recently in combat. Looks like I keep getting poisoned when fighting these spiders. If you like DeFi gaming or the idea of having real ownership in real items, if you'd like to see your favorite game remade, then smash that like button, subscribe, maybe tell somebody who you know feels the same about the channel. We've been doing DeFi gaming for quite some time. Starting to make a little bit more like tutorial content and stuff like that.
Which is what this will turn into. I'll edit this and turn it into some tutorial content. Okay, so that hasn't responded, it says, even though it's obviously right there. Kind of need to heal up a little bit. >> Like right on the line, being able to get the item without being noticed by the spider. Crap. And one respawn right on top of me. I think I got him though. My health is good. So there the woods not just right here. There's obviously wood in other places. If you hit M, you'll see it represented by right here, timber stand. You would think you would be able to like straight up chop trees, but it's in designated areas. So we might as well kind of move on. Wait, it looks like there was a quest I didn't finish. Oh, it was
the timber one. And we'll kind of come back here in a minute. Sometimes it takes the resources a second to respond. Respawn. And it tells you, literally, respawns in a minute 30. So I'm not going to sit here and just grind spiders when I don't really need to do that. I can come over here and grind a different mob and actually complete quests for it. My bags are full, apparently. So let's go offload those. I can buy bags. I got lucky last time with my other character. People came from the Discord and shouted us out and gave us some bags and some cool stuff, made our lives way easier. Now we're grinding it from the bottom like any normal person would. Okay, I need those. Sell this. They have a a junk button, but I guess they don't consider
any of this junk. Sell all of those. These mats are easy to get. I'm just going to sell all of this off. Just for the cash flow. I can always get more of this later pretty easily. All right. Should have a quest somewhere. To turn in, but I guess not. All right. Those are crafting quests. I wish crafting quests need to make them like a different color or something like that. All right. Now we can get back to the grind here. I should probably be stealthing, but with no benefit to ambush, no ambush move or anything like that, no real point. Also, I'm not finding these difficult to defeat either. I think I was supposed to do this quest first cuz this is a level one quest. Or the the monsters are level one is what I mean. And
you can see it's pretty simple. Slay the wolves, complete the quest, move on to next quest. Oh, the fallen chapel. Huh. This is so like this does look almost exactly the same as the starter village I was used to, but it it's slightly different. They must have like changed it a little bit. Definitely didn't have those boats or anything like that. All right, we're level five. Can we take this level five? I don't know. What is this new move? Eye Jab. All right, let's hit it with the Eye Jab. Oh, I should not have engaged that one. Yep. Need to give myself a little time to heal in between them. Yeah, this is the exact same village. All right. So yeah, now now we're in the same one. They've just added some things like those boat docks and stuff.
Those were not there. Run off a little bit, heal up. It'll be a good challenge to take these guys out, but it'll also be good XP. Maybe we'll go hang out near one of these actual players. Oh no, level seven probably take me out here. No ambush move yet. How's the audio anybody? Can you hear the in-game audio? Is the music too loud? Anybody got any comments on that? I guess I'll find out later. I'm so used to going to like one character to the next. Yeah, we're definitely going to need to heal up. Oh, I died off of like some kind of poison or something. Dang it. I usually really do prefer ranged mechanic here. A ranged character class, whatever you want to call it. Maybe we need to go somewhere else, a little higher level. I'm going
to run back over to these spiders real quick. Keep picking up the wood that we needed. Those are sulkers. I'm actually starting to get to know this beginner map a little bit from the first time I was here. I was pretty lost the first time I was here. Come on. I'm not in combat. Why does it say I'm in combat? There we go. How many of those do we need left? Timber stand. I don't know. I'll come back to that later. Sometimes you kind of got to move around to deal with the respawns. Like those that I was fighting over here. I didn't want to go fight the high levels. So I'm going to wait for those lower level monsters, the level fives to respawn. So that I can finish the quest, actually go turn the quest in, get
some XP, level up, maybe get some new items, some new gear, and then come back and maybe fight some of the bigger ones. Of course, with the level up comes increase in defense and you know, stuff like that. That makes you more suited to fight higher levels. Hopefully this character, yeah, they'll help me out again. Good stuff. Still need to kill quite a few more of them. Maybe this person will help me out. Who are they going to pull here? All right, I might need to get to them first. Attack the person right in front of you. Come on. All right, see that counted for me there. Guess I got to get to them first and let her back me up. My health is getting low. Huh, that one didn't count. Oh, I got to get the skulls off
of them. That's what it is. All right, come on, heal up. I got to fight this captain, though. I don't think this person's going to help me. All right, take a shot at this. Come on, actually help me. All right, cool. Oh, and I'm dead. Yep. Thought they'd help me, but they were really slow on the draw there. >> All right, we got to stand somewhere. So, I think I've certainly underestimated how far we can make it in a short period of time. I should have gone with a warrior class. Feel like uh the rogue is a little bit a little longer to get going here. Needs some gear. Get dialed in a little bit. That's eight out of eight. Let's go back and turn some quests in. And once we turn some quests in, I hope we get
some new attacks or some new gear or something. See, this wasn't here before. [music] Definitely threw me off. They definitely changed like where the village was. Swear they changed it. Take that guy out. Thanks for the free XP. So, level five now. We'll see what we are when we actually turn this stuff in. I really need like an ambush or something. So, after I stealth, I get like the move with a high damage for coming out of stealth and ambushing them. It's kind of a rogue's main thing. Otherwise, just a weak warrior at that point. Low-level vibes. Huh, so not a ton of XP here. And let's see if we got any good weapons or gear, I should say. Doesn't look like it. Doesn't look like we really got any gear. Some of the quests that I just accepted
had gear. No really good gear here. All right, we hit M. M is kind of your your go-to. If you're watching this as a tutorial to get into the game or considering it, basically once you accept the quest, just hit M and you'll know where to go and what to do. Grab this herb. Pretty sure it's a quest item. It could be a little hard to spot the stuff on the ground, actually. The bandit camp. At least the bandits are a little bit easier to go after. They do kind of give you the quests in an order that you should do them. I mostly ignore that, to be completely honest. Again, I'm used to like back in the day when I was younger, actually playing WoW, just go to a town that was relative level, load up all the
quests, and then just run to an area and do whatever needed to be done, cuz you had to I knew I was going to do all the quests anyways, so it didn't matter to me what order I did them in. You could be a little bit more strategic. If you just look at the level of the characters that you're fighting, it's about all you really need to do. Some mail has landed, huh? I don't think I have any mail, but I might. I don't know if I don't think mail is cross character. I think it's character specific. Got to love the ones that run from you. I think there's a gathering quest here somewhere. All right, pay attention to my health. They definitely moved this. This used to be over here. Yeah, they definitely rearranged things on me. And
I haven't even been that long since I actually played it. But the biggest thing that I see is they they seem like they've really fixed the lagging issue that was going on. I believe one of the developers told me they had like like basically memory escaping. I'm not a developer, so I'm not going to pretend exactly know what that means, although I know what memory is. And that was a big thing responsible for the lag. That looks to be pretty much fixed. Obviously in settings you can turn down or turn up the intensity. So if you're not lagging or you are lagging, you can kind of help your computer out a little bit there. Them running away is so annoying. Later on I should get some kind of move where I actually like throw a knife or something, so
I have some kind of ranged attack, but not at these low levels I don't. Or you use the throw a dagger to like pull them towards you. So you don't have to walk straight up to them and pull like three, four of them at a time and get yourself killed over and over again. But at low levels you just don't have those options. Hey, it looks like somebody Oh wait, I thought somebody was helping me out. It's just a respawn. The respawn rates are higher than what I'm used to in like actual Wow. Again, I haven't played World of Warcraft since I was a kid. Easily 16, 17 years ago. Or more. Probably more. I didn't really take the time to do the math on that. Just did that off top of my head there. Chasing them down doesn't
seem to do me much good, but maybe that's what I need to do. And again, I don't know if it's a positive or a negative here, but most of this game is pretty much the same repetitive thing just in different places with different characters doing different things. Like instead of killing a low-level wolf, you kill a higher-level wolf, but you still take the skin, you still find the item, you know, you still do all of that stuff relatively the same. It's like my bags are full. I'm probably going to finish this quest real quick before I run back to town. And with my hunter, I have an effect that gives me a speed boost. Basically, basically sprint. And uh I don't have that with this, so I feel very slow. All right, there we go. And I did have
some items that should help me in these upgrades from these quests turn in. And I think you guys pretty much get the point. Shout out to uh World of Warcraft for continuing to innovate, you know, change things around and add things the tutorial island. I look forward to seeing what else they do. Level cap right now is 20, so you try your hand at it. Uh you can see my name here, Sly U G, or my other character is just U G. Feel free to like add me as a friend. They have a whole social and things. There's an in-game market. This There is a connection where you can add like a Solana wallet. This is like a Solana project. You know, just telling you how this is DeFi gaming. They do have a coin that can go up
in value that's associated with the project. All of those type of things is why we consider this to be a DeFi game, even if there's some elements of it that are seeming to upgrade as they go along.
