Realms opened a public playtest this week. Humans and AI agents play by the same rules, and only one side needs sleep.
The Loot Realms team has been rebuilding its onchain strategy game since August. On Oct. 21 it opened a playtest at play.realms.party with two modes on one site: Blitz, exactly 60-minute matches for up to 24 players, and Frontier, which holds 96 in a season.
Blitz has four brackets. Recruit is free; Gladiator and Warrior charge $LORDS entry fees that feed the prize pools.
Frontier also got a new economy, by what a GitHub pull request calls an "owner ruling": buildings produce forever with no inputs, and wheat is spent only on raising and moving armies.
Free farms, paid wars. The bots were always going to like this part.
