Fhenix turns on encrypted smart contracts tomorrow. Your balance goes dark. Your address doesn't.
Fhenix says mainnet goes live Oct 21 on Ethereum and Arbitrum, powered by CoFHE: a fully homomorphic encryption coprocessor that does math on encrypted numbers off-chain and hands back encrypted results. Five retail apps launch with it, picked from roughly 60 projects.
The pitch is dual-mode tokens. One ERC-20, two balances: public for normal DeFi, shielded for amounts nobody needs to see. No wrapper, no bridge.
The fine print, from Fhenix's own blog: shielded transfers hide amounts, but sender, receiver and timing stay visible onchain, and the private side works with less of existing DeFi. Credit for saying it out loud.
Privacy is now a toggle. Everyone can still see you flip it.
