Aztec V6: Approved. Still Voting.

Aztec V6: Approved. Still Voting.

Aztec says its V6 upgrade passed. Its own governance dashboard says voting closes tomorrow.

The privacy L2 announced approval Oct. 22 and an "execution delay." The dashboard still lists the vote as active until Oct. 24, with execution available Oct. 26. Even then, the spec only allows execution on UK weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. London time.

What V6 changes: Ethereum-to-Aztec messages go from 24-108 seconds to a targeted 12-30. Sequencers' share of the 500 $AZTEC checkpoint reward rises from 70% to 90%, and provers' drops from 150 to 50. Apps must recompile, and their addresses change.

A zero-knowledge rollup that only upgrades during London office hours. Privacy, yes. Overtime, no.
